They weren’t supposed to start until today but GameStop started early and once others found out the greed machine took over and everyone joined. Most didn’t even have their websites updated to even take the orders so they rushed it. Chaos ensued and lots of websites crashed. I'm assuming that until they release a PS5 specific super duper enhanced & expanded version, we'll all still be in theory on the same platform? Those on PS5 just using the backwards compatability but still playing a PS4 version of the game? If so, I'm in no rush. When are they supposed to release the new expanded GTA Online for PS5? Gonna go with the digital version since technology has made me so lazy that switching discs is too much of a hassle anyway. It's actually not a bad bunch of launch titles but other than Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is not even a full game, there's not really much tempting me. The new NVIDIA card released today and sold out in minutes as well. It's very hard to out buy a bot. The cards are popping up all over eBay for insane markups. After a number of years of being a hold out on discs I have changed opinion slightly with having the the PS4 and it feels like a chore to have to switch a disc, which is odd considering when I first started gaming I had to sit and wait up to 30 minutes for something to load from tape! But the main thing that pisses me off with the digital is that the prices on PS Store are always more than the disc version. As quite a lot of games are basically just a database update, I'm looking at you Mr EA Sports Franchise, or very minimally changed from game to game I like the option of being able to pick up a second hand or discounted copy of something when it's a few years old. I really like the Assassin's Creed games for instance, I know they are essentially the same game in a new world but I find them quite relaxing sometimes to just wander around collecting things in and to switch off. But they definitely aren't worth £65 as a new release for digital. Currently running about 3 games behind on them and just pick them up for £10 to £15 when they come out. I hate that people do that. I mean, what if we worked hard all summer so we could buy a PS5 and on launch day they are all bought and we can get one but now have to pay $1,500 for it. I'll probably get one mid spring 2021. Over the years I have never had an issue looking for a console. I dont anticipate that happening with the PS5, so I wont pre-order as Im confident I will be able to find one in the many hundreds if not thousands of stores near me. I have not looked into the games being released because I still have PS4 titles to play and finish. I will buy the PS5 within days of its release because I think games I have ignored like No Man's Sky will look even more amazing on the new console. Is it safe to assume that this will be like the PS3 to PS4 transition, where people still on PS4 will not be able to play with the PS5 people? Beyond producing 4K-resolution visuals at 120 Hz, TVs that fully support the next-gen consoles also need a new type of HDMI port to handle all that data: HDMI 2.1 So if you don't have that type of Port it's not going to be the best even though you have the screen resolution and refresh rate 1 Quote I only grow in living soil!
