Some of you may or may not know that last month I was laid off from my job here in San Diego. The company I worked for up and closed its doors without any warning. This was a huge blow to me as I wasn’t sure what to do next. Worry and depression quickly set in. Thankfully I have great family and friends who support me and always have my back. With the belief that everything happens for a reason I looked at this as a new opportunity and have decided to enter the culinary world. I love to cook and find the preparation that goes along with it calming and relaxing. I just want to thank this amazing crew for helping through as well. During this phase where I was unsure what was to come next, Domestic Battery helped me temporarily forget my issues. Even if just for an hour or two at a time, getting together and laughing with crew mates was a great escape. I now am working part time as a food prep person at a morning eatery and am lined up for a kitchen gig at a high end steak house at night. I couldn’t be more excited about these opportunities! When I didn't see you on consecutive TNT nights, I knew something was up but didn't think you were going through a tough time.
