If this is true then surely R* will start dropping announcements soon right? The rumoured backwards compatibility might scupper that plan though. It’s not just Sony that Rockstar will be working with. Apparently some people still play GTA on a XBOX so the new version will only release when both next gen consoles are available. It’s actually just passed 5 years since GTA V released on PS4. I would have expected this too, it bought in a lot of extra sales without having to build a new game from scratch. They may have missed the boat for this though. There’s too much involved in making a game the size of GTA for nothing to have been leaked by now if there was a 2020 release. Many of the other game rumours have come from job listings for voice artists etc. Even a 2021 release is unlikely unless an announcement stating such was released soon. There’s been one posted presumably by Rockstar for digital artists specialising in medieval style. If the rumours are true it could be easy to adapt the RDR horse based game engine for a medieval era game. Not in that era but they have done games that specialise in melee combat. Bully and Warriors were focused on hand to hand combat.
