Soon (not real soon) I will be parting with my PS3 and I am no longer in need of this device, rather than have it sit around I will make a deal with a crew member What is it? Elgato Game Capture HD https://www.elgato.com/en/gaming/gamecapture-hd It will record PS3, PS4, XB360, and XB1 game play, you can use it to live stream from a PS3 (and the others) as well. I have not used it much, and the reason is that while it is and HD capture card, some deal with Sony (legal shit) the PS3 can not be hitch to it using and HDMI cable, you have to use the supplied AV cable (graphic are effected). (there is a software update that I have not tried, maybe that is the fix for it) The software is downloaded off the net, I have not installed the latest update but I do know that when the PS4 came out Sony had legal shit preventing 3rd parties from recording footage, the new update has PS4 ability, maybe that also has full HD ability for PS3 All that said, when hooked up using the AV cable it does affect the resolution on your tv (better than looking at PS2 gameplay but takes a bit of getting use to). But the recorded video looks top notch. The software also allows basic editing as well. Price - new sells for around $130's - $140's, I will sell for $50 plus shipping.
