Seriously? Whats with that -- cant they do a lunar eclipse at a more respectable time like late afternoon... :D

My wife and son said they will wake up with me to watch the eclipse at 5 AM -- I asked them to take a picture... :D

I can't wait for March 20th!

Fucking need to find me some eclipse glasses.

Apparently the moon will cover about 66% of the sun where I am in france.

It won't be as awesome as the full eclipse of 1999.

I remember it very well and it was amazing.

According to Jewish tradition, an eclipse on March 1st, also known as Nisan 1 (1st day of 1st month of biblical calendar) is considered a sign of judgement. This has proven true in the past.

Just another sign...You people DO need Jesus!

80 percent coverage for me

90 percent cloud coverage! It did work to my advantage though........

My UK colleague who's also an amateur astrologist and lives in Cumbria, sent me this pic earlier this week. Lucky b@st@rd :)

As for the yesterday's solar eclipse, apart from a small banana shaped sun and a bit less sunshine, it wasn't exactly the most inspiring experience tbh ....

Well, that is because it is ... Whitehaven :D

Haven't been there yet, but heard plenty of stories and saw a lot of pics by now. Definitely on the TO DO list !

100% cloud coverage here in France...

Got a beautiful grey sky instead of an ugly ass eclipse...

Same here, Fido.

Got somewhat lucky and managed to get a peek when driving to work. Tbh, you did not miss much. Just a little bit darker then usual and a banana shaped sun, just like a crescent moon, only a bit brighter and during day time.

Yeah I noticed the darkness for a few minutes despite the cloud cover.

I was still pissed cause I love astronomy and phenomenon like this.

Brings people together I love it. :)

and the aurora borealis is just a 'wrong coloured sky', right?

(I was all set for the eclipse, but the moon got in the way and ruined it.)
