Favourite Sporting Teams/Individuals

Sport is a great way people connect. There are so many different ones people are into, but when you find someone who likes a team/player you like... whole new worlds can open up!

I have an interest in a variety of teams/sports. Some more than others, the list could be huge, so i'll keep it reasonable.... & not in any particular order, just as I think of them....

NASCAR               : Marcos Ambrose & RPM, Dale Jnr. (I don't like Smoke too much...) Nationwide : Kyle Larson

F1                          : Ferrari & whoever drives for then . + Any Aussie eg Daniel Ricciardo.

NRL                       : Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.   Jacksonville Axemen (USARL)

Premier League     : West Ham United

NFL                        : San Francisco 49ers

NBL                        : L.A .Lakers

Rugby Union          : New South Wales Waratahs

V8 Supercars         : FORD

Indy Car                 : Will Power

WSB                       : L.A Angels

AFL                        : Sydney Swans

Golf                        : Phil Mickelson

Tennis                    : Any of those tall blondes running around screaming OOOOH AHHHH! GRUNT! ;)

There are a few more, but these are the main ones. Do we have anything in common? Do you have something in common with other members that you didn't know? Post your teams & find out :)

F1 - Lewis Hamilton.

Premier League - Swansea City.

I can't say I follow any other individual or team in other sports except Wales in international Rugby.

May I ask what the reason is for supporting West Ham United, are they a popular team in Australia?

I played soccer  when I was a little kid (5-10 yrs old) When I was about 7yrs old I bought a soccer magazine & the centre pin up was of West Ham United. It went on my wall & I've suffered ever since lmao!

Football: Manchester United, LA Galaxy (I'm not really interested in MLS, but attend games and mildly watch them)

MLB: LA Angels

Hockey: Ducks (Grew up Devils fan because of Brodeur, but with the lockouts and player changes follow the local team)

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs

NBA: LA Lakers (not as interested in basketball like I used to be)

Those are the majors. Outside of those sports I am really into golf and have always been interested in MMA.

Monster Truck - Tom Meents. Tom lives about 35 miles from me, worked with his cousin who also was a driver. Tom is nice guy.

Paintball - Femme Fatales. These girls are brutal on the field. Faced them a couple times during my PB career.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

MLB: Detroit Tigers

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers

NFL: Seattle Seahawks, but I'm not a huge football fan as a whole.

NHL: Vancouver Canucks, but I haven't watched a full game in years.

All in all, I'll watch pretty much any sporting event if it is front of me, but I only follow baseball religiously.  I'm not much into college sports, but I will bet on them if the odds are good.

I think USA have a good Soccer/Football team, not a world beater but some very good players.

Very tough World Cup group with Germany and Portugal though.

Its very true that in the past 12-16 years US soccer/football has gotten much better -- but I have to be realistic -- the chances of them winning are less then the Cubs winning the world series!

My sporting heroes are in the past. I follow Liverpool FC and my hero was Kenny Dalglish. I'm a fan of pro wrestling and boxing. Loved the Hearns-Hagler-Duran-Leonard rivalries back in the 80s.
