Hi to all at DB GTA V

Hi everyone,

I'm a middle-aged gamer originally from the UK, now living in Australia, and I've been into (although not necessarily very good at) PS since the original Sonic and GTA. I love playing GTA online regularly (usually everyday, even if it is just to try to complete the daily objectives - going for the 28-day award at the moment - more about that later). I'm into most activities, but particularly racing (no deliberate bumping), contact missions and I'd like to get properly going on the heists. I'm horrible in free-play: constantly getting killed by players with far quicker reactions than me! I've been with another crew for a while, but have not been able to get much done with them, plus they've got a fair few of the foul-mouthed arses who don't make the game pleasureable to play.

I also want to get away from the open lobbies that, as we all know, seem to be populated by kids who somehow have got their grubby little mitts on this game and who go around with their mics constantly on, whistling tunes or playing their own crappy music in the background!

I've been playing the game for a while now - level 122. I'm good at the air races/flying jets, pretty good at racing, a bit of a plodder when it comes to missions and not-so-great at deathmatches/captures, etc. I have to admit that I'm a bit of a trophy-hunter and it'd be great to be in a crew that can help me with a few - run like the wind for example - and I'm more than happy to help others achieve their aims - for instance, I'll always accept one rally race invite a day (if I get one) and stick around for them to complete one race.

I have a mic (although I'm not too sure if it works!) and it'd be great to join your crew.

Cheers and hope to hear from you.

Welcome the the home of the Grand Theft Auto crew known as Domestic Battery. We work hard to be a fun, mature, active, and dependable crew. We do however have some guidelines in place to ensure that we maintain the environment we have built.

Please take time to read our Crew Policies and Guidelines

Feel free to ask any questions, we will do our best to answer them. Please note everyone here is human and on occasion it may take some time to get your crew invite out. Normally this is done within the first hour of your posting.

Hope you get with the crew in game and have fun.

Welcome! Here are a few more routine questions for us to get to know you better, you did answer some but missed a few others. You mentioned that you don't really like playing deathmatches or captures. They are both a pretty big aspect of this crew since they allow us to all game together, unlike missions or heists that only allow 4 players. That's not to say we don't do them, but they aren't our main focus.

We do have a lot of very good DM players so it is very likely you will be killed a lot, but you will also learn a lot and we are all willing to help whenever possible. Is this something that interests you?

1. What time zone are you active in? (if you live in the East Coast of the United States for example, your timezone is GMT -5)

2. How did you hear about us and what are some of your goals for joining a crew?

3. Our Vetting period lasts a total of 2 weeks in which our tags must be active for the entirety, is this something you can abide by? (after which you can switch as you please, but we must remain your primary crew)

4. Do you consider yourself an active gamer? Will you be able to attend at least 1 event per week and check in on our site often? (whether it's a structured playlist, random job hoping or participating with crew members in whatever)

5. Are you willing to step outside your comfort zone to experience all GTA has to offer? (for example, we play everything from deathmatches to races to captures and more, as well as Free Roam shenanigans)

Thanks Scottyb1988 and thanks to you also, Xyon14.

Scotty, in reply to your questions: -

1. My time zone is Australian Eastern Standard Time, GMT +10

2. I've been searching for a different crew for a while now, randomly did an internet search this afternoon for a gta online crew for mature gamers and found your crews' details. I had a read through your website, liked what I read and hoped you'd like me too! As far as what I'd like to achieve, well, there are a few. I'd like to sign up a few friends who I can trust to follow your rules and who I can then, hopefully, go along with on a few missions and do the heists with. I love racing and like to keep it clean - very hard to achieve in the open lobbies. As I said, I'm a bit of a tropy/award-hunter and I haven't been able to achieve what I wanted to achieve with my present crew - nice though most of them are. I'm more than happy to help others achieve their trophy/award objectives in the process.

3. No problem with the vetting process. I shall clear my diary this week and next!

4. I play at least once-a-day at the moment, at least for an hour, usually for 2 to 3 hours (more if I can) and then more again at the weekend. I will be able to attend at least one event per week and I will check the website regularly. I should say that my computer/internet skills are not fantastic and it does sometimes take me some time to get the hang of things, but with practice I will get there!

5. Absolutely! I do play deathmatches and the like; I'm just not that great at them! Just be aware, if it's me that's supposed to be protecting your arse, your arse is probably going to get shot up immediatey after I die! I seem to be better at doing my job/not dying in the missions though!

Cheers again.

You should fit in very well here and find everything you're after and much more. Most people don't realise what they're missing out on until they play with mature, respectful and like minded people.

You will get an invite soon and your vetting will start from then, but one of the vetting LTs will post something more on that soon :)

Very nice intro Rich. I think you'll find what you're looking for here. Check out the Sunday Racing League playlist if you want to jump right I and get your feet wet today. This Sunday we are racing Karin Rebels in a bunch of off road races.

Welcome to XDBX

Rich, check your PSN settings. I just tried to send you a friend request and it told me I was denied due to your settings. You'll be getting several friend requests soon.

Thanks Dodge. Invite accepted, active crew changed to XDBX. I live in Australia and looking at the PS3 events calendar, some of the scheduled crew events are at horrific hours of the morning for me! However, there's a few that I'll be signing up to tomorrow and I'm going to try to get in an hour online now before bed. Thanks again and hope to see you online. Cheers

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
