ScottyB 2,086
http://rsg.ms/626df31 this is my 1st race made mainly to be used for muscle cars, hopfuly i did this right and the link works. have fun and let me know what ya think <3 When we played it the other day in sports, it was good, although maybe a little fast. Muscle will be interesting so I would like to run it in that to see how it goes. Sedans and coupes would work really well with this track too. A few things I mentioned, and not sure if you changed them, but the chicanes need to be a bit more visible. You could change the race settings to make it morning or noon which should help, but it would also be good to possibly place a checkpoint on the other side of the chicane which would show that you need to cross over. There was one other path, I think the second last straight before the finish line which has trees down the centre of the road. I crashed into them on all 3 laps. Unfortunately it's just an awkward piece of road and it would be good if you can change the route to avoid it as it disrupts the flow of the track. Also, it was set to 3 laps as default but this can run for 4 laps which will bring it close to 5 mins which is a good amount of time for a race. This is a very good race in both track layout and prop use and I'm looking forward to seeing more jobs from you in the future! Skorpion 2,528
I really like this track. There are a good balance of corners and short straights that it can be fast without being a basic layout. I think the chicanes my favourite part as it can be taken at speed but still easy to mess it up if not done right. The final straight is another favourite. It fits well with what i feel like a speedway should finish with. A sprint to the finish. The checkpoints are all well placed and guide the corners nicely. The probs fit the theme of the track excellently, although some corners are a bit difficult due the probs blending with the ground. The time of day could make a difference, although it would likely help some corners and hinder others. The chicanes a difficult area with the checkpoint positioning and looks to be difficult to find a solution that suits everyones different racing styles. Excellent effort with that. Im not sure if its been changed since I seen it last, but the round bales on the first few corners are angled 90 degrees from the round bales on the corners towards the later half of the track. I found this to be a little distracting. Ive only done this in muscles and sports, both of which I felt were a good fit for the track (especially muscles). There was one other path, I think the second last straight before the finish line which has trees down the centre of the road. I crashed into them on all 3 laps. Unfortunately it's just an awkward piece of road and it would be good if you can change the route to avoid it as it disrupts the flow of the track.I had the same difficulty when trying to take the left side of the trees, but no issue at all when going for the right side. Im not sure how you took it, but I found it made to corner much cleaner.Looking forward to seeing any jobs you create in the future. ScottyB 2,086
I was trying to go onto the left side. Well actually I was just taking the corner as normal and the first tree is virtually dead in the racing line and i think is a bit hidden until its too late. Since you have already committed to the corner you just have to break a bit harder and hope you miss the tree. Maybe if you block off the left side if it is easier to stick to the right and adjust the CP accordingly. Ill have to try it again and go through it slowly to see how much of a problem it is and what can be done to fix it. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/5985-lakeview-speedway/#findComment-95942 Share on other sites
Zadk13l91 112
i did fix that bale on the 1st corner cuz.. and that corner you complaining bout just have to slow down enough to hit it think its the only corner i haven't messed up yet lol. and i tryed with that idea you had scotty with the lights on the chicane just couldn't find it. and as for the auto settings gonna leave them how they are. and i dont have any props free now to shut off the left side of the corner. maybe ill move the checkpoint to the middle then you can take what ever side of it u like?
