So, time for an all-time Dutch classic, I guess?

Soldier of Orange, directed by Paul Verhoeven (RoboCop, Starship Troopers, Basic Instinct), with Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) and Jeroen Krabbé (The Living Daylights):

@PretendWereDead we're just nominating genres right now, that is a great film though!

I can add on a vote for foreign language films for you if you want, or you could nominate something else? 🙂

Genres? Like in Swedish thrillers? Love them!

What we do is nominate a type of film to watch first, and then the film after that.  I can put you down for Swedish films if you like?  There are a load of amazing Swedish films I could nominate if that wins.

the winning genre has been picked and it's @Con's nomination of Danny Boyle films, something he's put forward several times, so he must be pleased 🙂

I'll kick off the film nominations with T2 Trainspotting the 2017 sequel to his breakout hit.

Winner will be picked on Monday

what about him? 😉

Apparently he sold apples. Not sure why Mr Boyle wanted to make a film about a fruit salesman, but it's got Kate Winslet in it!

It's a new month, so time for a new genre.  I'm currently reading his autobiography, All About Me (which is excellent, highly recommended), so I'll kick off the nominations with Mel Brooks Films.

The winning genre will be randomly selected on Sunday.

The winning genre for this month has been picked, and we shall be watching a film directed by Melvin Kaminsky, aka. Mel Brooks.

I'll kick off the film nominations with one of only a couple of his films I haven't seen yet, High Anxiety.

Winner will be picked on Friday 🙂

Since I'm late getting to this this month we'll forgo the genre nominations and have an open choice, nominate any film you want.

I'll be nominating the recent, and very provocative, Bad Luck Banging or Loony p*rn

Winner will be picked on Friday.

@omarcomin71 what film is that?  I can't find a western called The Old Man.  The closest I can find is an animated Estonian film, is that what you meant?  I remember you nominating a film called Old Henry a while back, did you mean that one?

Yes!!! Old Henry 😏

I guess I was confused with the new FX series starring Jeff Bridges. 🤪Highly recommended by the way.

So the wheel this month chose Bad Luck Banging.  Now when the wheel chose it I thought that some people may not want to watch it because of its explicit content, so I made an executive decision that we're having a double feature this month, with the second spin of the wheel bringing up Old Henry.

If you watch Bad Luck Banging then please be warned that it contains un-simulated s*x - real f*cking - and you see it in PornHub levels of detail.  Please don't think I'm a pervert, this is a legitimate film, I swear!
