Squirrel 5,180
Just a testing thread for notes to help choose the best of the available versions of each track. no_snacks 3,345
Yeah, no offence to the creator, but that Albert Park job sucks ass. I made that when the Cunning Stunts props first came out. Back then, I didn't even know how to add props using the Advanced Placement. I'll go back and redo most of the track as there are several props that can easily be salvaged with some better placement. Will make some of the corners a bit more realistic by rotating the corner props around rather than just clipping them together. Will be able to add a pitlane and possibly a grandstand or two as well. Just need some palm tree props now.
adsyfindlay 412
Just a quick note a new Monza will be coming soon with elevation from me it will be a copy of the current job
Squirrel 5,180
I found a couple of Suzukas which look to be better propped than my own, one of them published in the last 24 hours so hoping that's it more immersive than my version. I think mine may be too big at 1:1 scale but will try the other versions and pick the best.

There are no decent tracks worth mentioning for CotA that I've found so far. If Albert Park isn't used for this championship I'll definitely include it in the Elegy Trophy
Squirrel 5,180
@no_snacks The Silverstone I've got listed is your direct competition. The size is great plus great prop work, would prefer more of it to be open but it's good to see what you're up against and see where you can improve.
no_snacks 3,345
Bookmarked it and will give it a run later today, @Squirrel. Will have a good look at some of their ideas and see what I can steal. The basic layout for mine is done. It's not 100% true to IRL, but I had to adjust a couple angles and lengthen or shorten a couple of other bits so it would fit in the area I wanted to place it. The main thing I'm trying to do is to make sure certain corners look and feel right (Maggots/Becketts, Brooklands/Luffield etc). I'm not too fussed if the straights are a few degrees off or if they're a touch longer or shorter compared to the rest of the track - nobody is gonna care or even notice, as long as the signature corners feel right. Even though the IRL track is almost flat, it does have some subtle elevation changes. It's gonna feel too flat and lifeless without them, so next step is to add them without using too many props. Hopefully I'll have a few props left over for decoration to add a bit of atmosphere. Once I've made the elevation changes I'll publish it and let you guys test it and let me know what you think. Squirrel 5,180
We tested a lot of the tracks planned to be used last night and all seemed to go well, only Supercup track that had problems was the Canada GP circuit. The track layout and length is good. Just a couple of issues with waves as it's too low and the destructible barriers on the chicanes are likely to cause problems. The racing was good however and @no_snacks has volunteered to rebuild the circuit closer to our needs. Still looking for Spa and the Hungaroring. I'll be revising the OP later with the tracks we're definitely using so it's clear what's still outstanding.

Squirrel 5,180
If you've created a track for the Supercup can you please add a Supercup tag to the job, this can be done via social club so you don't need to republish the job. Thanks
