Is this a stunt race or a proper racetrack build? Stunt

Do you like Rollercoasters? I do even though I don't like heights. I'm wanting to create and inspire others to create a series of Stunt tracks based on real life coasters past or present.

This is going to be the first in the series.

Based on the old Thunder Looper at Alton Towers in the UK (I know I'm showing my age now) It was a loop and nothing else.

The GTA recreation mirrors the real life version but far more unsafe. Full contact will mean plenty of opportunities for crashing, GTA mode will add throwable explosives into the mix to make the loop even more interesting.

Interesting. A Top Thrill Dragster/Kingda Ka would be very interesting to pull off.

I know the one you mean, see if it can be done in the creator!

How cute! A British kiddie ride! Did it have height restriction signs? "You can't ride if you're taller than this."  ;;)

I wouldn't knock the rides at Alton Towers, was a crash last year that meant a couple of girls lost legs. Most scary ride there is the cable car though. Would never catch me on that.

Interesting fact though, due to the area surrounding the park being an area of natural beauty they had to remove the thunder looper and other tall rides in order not to ruin the views in the area, this has meant Alton Towers has had to get very creative with their coasters, they may not be the tallest but they do have some of the deepest as many of them go underground.

The ride you based this on was very popular here in the states. Kentucky Kingdom once had one. Parks in California. Even the long gone Astroworld in TX had one.

Makes a lot of sense, once you have a coaster design perfected selling it on to other parks around the world is logical. I do know some rides had certain exclusivity, only one of a certain type got the rights to be in a park in the UK but obviously originally based on US designs to start with.

One of the first looping coasters was the Corkscrew, I'm pretty sure that same coaster design could be found all over the world but was unique in the UK to Alton Towers.

Quick search shows some cool facts. Thunder Looper was originally built for Kings Dominion. That's a park here in the US, in the state of Virginia. It then went to a park in the state of Maryland and over to Alton. Once it left Alton it was installed in Brazil and is still in operation today.
